The herbal formula "huo xiang zheng qi wan" , 藿香正气丸, which in english is "agastache powder to correct the qi", is categorized within the "expel dampness" functional grouping and within the "transform damp turbidity" sub-category.

Our clinical staff have made the following notes, regarding huo xiang zheng qi wan.

This is among a rarer group of formulas designed to treat simultaneous interior and exterior conditions.  With the interior disharmony of the middle the flow between top and bottom is impaired, which is why the wind invasion tends to be restricted to the top.  This tends to produce symptoms such as as chills, headache, and possibly tight/achy neck and upper back.  The stagnation of the middle with damp tends to manifest as chest oppression, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
