LV 7 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "LV 7" , 膝關, is represented by "Xi Guan" in pinyin and "Knee Joint" in english and may be found:

1 cun posterior to SP 9, posterior and inferior to the medial condyle of the tibia in the upp[er portion of the medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle.


Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Local point.

While not necessarily valid clinically, SP 9 (He Sea point - drains dampness (generally through…) and ST 36 (Tonify deficient Qi a/or Blood. Tonify Wei Qi an…) are nearby.
