PC 3 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory
The acupuncture point "PC 3" , 曲澤, is represented by "Qu Ze" in pinyin and "Marsh at the Bend" in english and may be found:
On the transverse cubital crease on the ulnar side of the biceps brachii tendon.
Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:
- Chronic angina - palpitations, anxiety, panic attacks, sensation of "pounding" heart particularly in the upper abdominal area.
- Tremors of the hand a/or arm, Parkinson's disease - localized pain in the elbow and arm.
- Gastrointestinal disorders, "sudden turmoil disease" - vomiting and diarrhea.
- Clears Ying Stage Heat - summer-heat stroke, other heat disease.

PC 3 may potentially be used, in coordination with a well designed acupuncture treatment protocol, to influence the following conditions: Angina, Anxiety, Diarrhea, Heat Stroke, Palpitations and/or Vomiting
While not necessarily valid clinically, HT 3 (Pain, numbness, tremors, etc. of the lower arms a…), LU 5 (He Sea Point - useful for counterflow Qi/diarrhea…) and SI 8 (Elbow problems, swelling, trembling, pain, numbne…) are nearby.
