First we need know what pattern in TCM you are, for example: heart & kidney yang deficiency use formula "Di Huang Yin Zi +-", Liver Yang up too strong use formula "Zhen Gan Xi Feng Tang+-", Qi & Blood stagnation use "Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang+-", and different pattern also has different acupuncture prescription.

You have pain at night time, that is blood stasis, the herb & acupuncture points should be active qi & blood cycle. Good luck!
