Thick phlegm tongue

Hi Chad
Since my acupuncturist diagnosed me with phlegm and spleen Qi deficiency few months ago, I changed my diet and included TCM herbs. I was just wondering from your perspective and experience how long does it take move phelgm? It is not the coughing phlegm and it’s cold phlegm. My tongue is swollen ( first half).

It can be quite slow in general terms. The most important thing is that you are feeling generally well and that you are seeing improvement with your dietary changes and herbal approaches. As phlegm is an indicator of diet, intestinal health, inflammation and other aspects, it can take years in theory to fully resolve. But if you are feeling well, you just keep making the right decisions with your diet and lifestyle and let it resolve in its own way.
