How to relieve a locked jaw

By Archived User | Updated: Dec 31, 2021 | Published: Dec 31, 2021

One of my clients (18 years old) is experiencing that her jaw is locked occasionally. Are there any acupuncture points that she can press to relieve this condition? Thank you

Not really, acupressure is quite limited - particularly when you have something that can have much deeper contributing factors (possibly things such as anxiety, cervical disc issues, sinus issues, other structural problems, etc.).

While likely not comprehensive enough in clinical reality our acupuncture for TMJ page has some general pointers. Some of those, particularly LI 4, SI 3 and LV 3 can be used to some affect with acupressure.
