As with any condition you first have to find out what the underlying issues are and treat that (not the symptoms) - see “treating the cause vs. the symptoms” for more on pattern differentiation in TCM.

In general the diagnostic patterns and protocols in our acupuncture for epigastric pain should get you in the ballpark of both how to look at the underlying issues and how to begin formulating a treatment plan.
