KD 14 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "KD 14" , 四滿, is represented by "Siman" in pinyin and "Fourfold Fullness" in english and may be found:

2 cun below CV 8, .5 cun lateral to CV 5.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • KD 11, KD 12, KD 13, KD 14 & KD 15 all intersect the Chong Mai and are useful as local points for abdominal a/or gynecological issues

Kd 14 has the following theoretical associations which serve as important guideposts in designing an effective treatment protocol:

  • Intersection Point of the KD & Chong Mai Meridians

KD 14 may potentially be used, in coordination with a well designed acupuncture treatment protocol, to influence the following conditions: Abdominal Pain, Amenorrhea (Absence of Menstruation), Digestive Issues, Dysmenorrhea (Menstrual Pain - Cramps), Irregular Menstruation and/or Menorrhagia (Heavy Menstrual Bleeding)

While not necessarily valid clinically, CV 5 (Generally, useful for patterns of excess involvin…), SP 14 (Warms the middle warmer and dissipates cold for l…) and ST 27 (Beneficial for multiple genito-urinary issues in …) are nearby.
