The acupuncture point "UB 63" , 金門, is represented by "Jin Men" in pinyin and "Metal Gate" in english and may be found:

On the lateral side of the foot, directly below the anterior border of the external malleolus, on the lower border of the cuboid bone.


Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Local Point.


Ub 63 has the following theoretical associations which serve as important guideposts in designing an effective treatment protocol:

  • Xi Cleft Point
  • Intersection Point of the UB and Yang Wei Meridians
