Hello "DLynn",

You would ideally consult directly with a practitioner in your area.  Dryness is generally a sign of "blood" and/or "yin" deficiency in Chinese Medicine terms.  This may arise from diet, internal issues (health issues), external factors (environment, medications, etc.) or (likely) some combination of these.

To learn a little more about these perspectives, a good place to start would be the articles - "My Kidneys are What?" (particularly the part discussing the concept of Kidney Yin) and "My Liver is What?" (particularly the part discussing the concept of Liver Blood).  From a dietary perspective, our article on "tcm dietary therapy" may be of value.

A practitioner would go through your entire medical history, current diet and lifestyle, etc. to get to the root cause(s) of your issues and then apply treatment to that.  The actual outcome (ie the dry skin, etc.) is, in many ways, the least important part of developing a solution (see "treating the cause vs. the symptoms" for more on that).
