Annona Muricata

By Archived User | Updated: Dec 31, 2021 | Published: Dec 31, 2021

I have been casually studying about Annona Muricata, aka Graviola, aka Soursop. It is a fruit, medicinally, the leaves and stems (I believe), are used. Just wondering if it is used in any TCM formulas? I was curious as to the TCM properties, such as cooling, warming, etc. ? Anyone have any info?

I am not aware of any TCM classifications or formula usages of the herb itself. Research has shown anti-cancer properties of the herb among other benefits. Although others have shown agents may increase rates of dementia and other degenerative issues. At this point I am not aware of enough human studies to warrant use, particular in relation to possible contraindications with other herbs.
