Bacterial Vaginosis Treatment

Hi there! I have been prescribed Huang Lian Jie Du Wan (5 pills 3x per day) and Shu Gan Wan (5pills 3x per day) to treat my BV. I am having an issue with the Huang Lian Jie Du Wan. It is causing severe dryness in my throat and mouth. Also flushing my face a bit red. I keep thinking I am having an allergic reaction or my throat is closing but I do not believe it is. I am allergic to tree nuts, but this formula does not seem to have any. Has anyone experienced this or can you give me an insight on other herbs used to treat a Bacterial Vaginosis infection. Thank you!

I would suggest you simply contact the prescribing practitioner and ask them what they suggest. They would be most familiar with you diagnostically speaking and would likely offer the best insights. There are many possible formulas but what is right for you has little to do with your main issue and more to do with all of the other factors that went into the practitioners choice of formulas for you.
