Facial sebaceous cysts

I would recommend starting the other direction - so don’t look for a treatment principle for the issue, but a treatment principle for the patient. So if this is for a specific patient, we can discuss that. First work with their diagnosis and then target the part that is leading to the collection of damp (which is generally the construct behind the cysts). So if it’s from weak spleen, then treat that, it’s from liver yang rising, then treat that - generally work from the overall diagnosis first and then use local points to move qi and clear damp (if appropriate) from the face.

Cysts that have been present for 40 years, can be difficult, but there is still much merit in treating the underlying causes, working with appropriate dietary change and limiting these influences for the overall health of the patient.
