Lichen sclerosus

I have been diagnosed with lichen sclerosis and am wondering would acupuncture help? Are there any other alternative treatments to help manage, relieve, or cure symptoms?

Yes acupuncture with Chinese herbal medicine may very likely be helpful. In most cases there is an underlying hormonal imbalance that needs to be resolved. When the underlying factors are dealt with properly, then the skin issues clear up completely in most cases. It can, technically, heal on its own without any treatment, but I wouldn’t try to wait for that.

Thanks Chad. I will see if I can find a good acupuncturist here. Wish me luck! “LS” is a horrible thing to have, both physically, and emotionally.
