Treating someone with emphysema (and enlarged heart because of emphysema), if you use TCM herbs and use herbs indicated for heat related condition instead of cold condition… will it still help or have an adverse effect?

Could you clarify what you are asking? Obviously if you choose the completely wrong formula it is very unlikely to help the person… I’m assuming you are asking a more detailed question that would require more information on what diagnosis in Chinese Medicine terms you are giving to the patient and what your supporting signs and symptoms for that are.
