Are you asking as a practitioner for a detailed theoretical answer? Or are you asking generally? If generally, cystic fibrosis symptoms respond quite well to acupuncture and in many cases Chinese herbal medicine.
Acupuncture particularly has a positive effect on pain levels, immune regulation, digestion and breathing functions. Other aids are dietary change, particularly eliminating “damp” producing foods from a Chinese Medicine perspective - most dairy, cold and/or raw foods, gluten, soy and food additives.
Treatment is generally long-term, weekly (or much less depending on the patient) for months to years, but can greatly alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life.
