The Acupuncture Institute at the University of Bridgeport offers Masters and Doctoral degrees in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.  It is a wonderful oppurtunity to study in an University evironment alongside Chiropractic, PA, Nutrition, Nursing, and other healthcare care providers.  We specialize in a TCM approach and students have oppurtunity to take Anatomy and other classes alongside Chiropractic students.  We are currently entering our 25th year under Dr. Jennifer Brett.

I loved the program as a student.  My classmates and patients were diverse and freindly, and the faculty helped us to Master alot in 3 short years.  In my free time, I enjoyed the beach in seaside park (even though there are no waves), the medical garden, the gym, and the cafeteria with lots of yummy options  (well labeled for allergens).

I built freindships I carrry with me today and developed a network of collegues I trust and respect.  I was a dual degree student, but I actually enjoyed the culture of the Acupuncture Institute the most (not to disparage the excellent ND program).

I am thankful the Acupuncture school is still alive on campus today and invite you come check us out!

Bridgeport U, School of Naturopathic Medicine (1997-2022) provideed valuable experiences for me and student interns where we had prepared in a 4 year rigourous and thorough training for being a naturopathic physician.  My studies and training led me to be experts in patient-centered care focused on disease prevention and optimization of health throughout the life span. The naturopathic clinic "served the community, providing high-quality healthcare at low cost. These services have also been available at a number of free community clinics for those who had no ability to pay for healthcare." (https://www.bridgeport.edu/ub-clinics/naturopathic). Both professors and supervising physicians were well knowledgable and hands on with our academics and training.  Throughout the years I experinced top notched and valuable lessons and graduated with 100% confidence to serve my community as a physician! It is so sad to have see this school and clinic closed in May 2022.
