Can I take astragalus on its own while I have a cold?

Without knowing all of your medical history and having to generalize I would say no. In general terms you never want to take tonifying herbs while you are sick and huang qi is certainly in that category.

There are cases where it might comprise a portion of a targeted formula, but that would depend on the individual.

Thank you for sharing that Chad…I just took a dose of astragalus but
will stop now until I get over my cold!
