Chinese Medicine looks at the deeper causes of conditions and not the symptoms itself - so in theory this means that chapped lips could come from a variety of issues. Only your practitioner who can go through your entire family history can probably guide you towards resolving these issues (see “treating the cause vs. the symptoms” for more information on that).

Somewhat common causes would be either Kidney yin deficiency or Spleen blood deficiency in Chinese Medicine terms - but there are many other possibilities including more complicated layered patterns.
