Hi all,
I have a new patient with MS and am looking for some input regarding treatment plans you’ve used!

As always, we suggest you start by searching our site before asking questions in our forums. There are many MS related discussions and articles.
A search for “multiple sclerosis” on our theory site would have given you the following and a few more of relevance:
Our Acupuncture for MS Page - which contains standard underlying diagnoses and basic approaches to treating MS.
One aspect of our treatment approach for MS is use of the window of sky points - this is discussed in some detail with related western medicine approaches in “(MS Treatment) Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency and the Sky Window Theory” in TCM.
The above article generally discusses and links to our Tam Healing System treatment for MS page which lists the most important points in our approach.
I think the most important thing to remember is that you not treating “MS” - even from a western perspective you are treating an immune imbalance (autoimmune) and from a Chinese Medicine perspective you should simply treat what you see (i.e. what their underlying tcm diagnosis is). While we think it is absolutely crucial to open up certain areas of circulation/function as indicated by our approach, this does not exclude treating the root from a Chinese Medicine perspective which is ultimately the most important aspect.
