Thank you for this information. Can this formula be used as a preventative?

As a universal rule, it would probably not be the best approach. For people with specific risk factors in western terms (family history of specific breast cancer types, specific hormonal imbalances/sensitivities, etc.) maybe, particularly if the overall effect of the formula matches with their imbalances in Chinese Medicine terms (i.e. their TCM diagnosis).
Generally speaking, however, for many people diet and exercise are going to be the principle ways of limited cancer risk. But, yes, if the formula matches for the patient and their medical history, possibly. On average, however, you never want to take formulas indefinitely, so a practitioner would guide the intake of the formula over time, possibly with other formulas and other treatments (i.e. acupuncture, etc.) so as to not disrupt or challenge other systems in the body.
