Treatment for a kidney donor?

By Archived User | Updated: Dec 31, 2021 | Published: Dec 31, 2021

I friend of mine donated his left kidney to his father earlier this year. He has since read that among live kidney donors, those who donate the left kidney are much more likely than those who donate the right to develop chronic fatigue. He is now experiencing fatigue. Do you think there would be a TCM treatment and/or cure for this?

This has been addressed in a previous posting. In short, yes acupuncture and TCM can help with fatigue. Whether it would be an ongoing treatment or a cure would depend on a number of factors such as diet, lifestyle, stress, activity level, etc. That being said if he was healthy enough to donate in the first place it would be more likely the fatigue stems from the sort of imbalance that can be essentially fixed and therefore would not require continuous treatment.
