Trochanteric bursitis

I have trochanteric bursitis in my left hip with some pain in the IT band and gluteus mediallus. Can acupuncture help with this problem? If so, can you suggest appropriate points of treatment?

Thank you.

Pain and inflammation of all kinds and from all origins are extremely well treated across the board with acupuncture. You should consult with a fully licensed acupuncturist in your area to obtain treatment. Acupuncture is not a point to condition modality so the proper point prescriptions require proper diagnosis and both require an extensive amount of training and experience. For more on that read "What Does Acupuncture Treat?", and for a general idea of some potential points read our acupuncture for arthritis section which will give you a broad perspective of potential points that would be applicable in your case.
