In very general terms there are no contraindications for point combinations. If you, based in your understanding of the theory and whichever system you use, have a reason to use the points then by all means they should be used. Yintang and Shen Men (HT 7, or the auricular point shenmen) are commonly used together and they form a good combination for some cases. Personally, I find points like yintang, shenmen, etc. over used, but so long as you are seeing the results you want to see in your treatments then your use of them is fine.
