Five Phase - Lung Deficiency Heat Pattern

There are no abdominal patterns for Lung Deficiency Heat as it is an exterior condition.

Pulse:
HT/LV/KD/PC = Floating and Tight
LU/SP = Floating and Excess

  • Root Treatment Points:
  • Technique: #0 or #1 needle, approx. 1mm insertion, retain approx. 10 minutes
  • Metal Points - SP 5 & LU 8 or Yuan Source Point - LU 9
  • Common Symptoms:
  • Bloodshot eyes
  • Red face
  • Coughing, SOB
  • Aversion to cold, fever, no sweating
  • Stiffness and pain in the posterior neck
  • Rhinitis
  • Related Patterns & Treatment (in lieu of controlling cycle):
  • HT Heat - disperse SI 1 & SI 6
  • SP Heat - disperse ST 44 & ST 45
  • KD Heat - disperse UB 63 & UB 66
