Hawthorn Berry and Heart Palpitations (12/2021)

In past years I've noticed that I have a pretty weak heart. Especially with my studies in TCM (I'm not an acupuncturist, just a shiatsu practitioner), I've come to suspect it's a pretty weak link for me. I sweat easily...

Injury from Electric Shock - treatment protocols / ensuing pattern suggestions (12/2021)

I am a shiatsu therapist, but my treatment protocols are based upon the framework of TCM, so I imagine I'll get some thoughtful and helpful responses from this acupuncture forum. I currently have a client with an interesting injury that...

Injury from Electric Shock - treatment protocols / ensuing pattern suggestions (4/2013)

Thanks for the point recommendations. I didn&#39t know that GB 34 was useful for nervous system damage. I&#39d been focusing a lot on pc 6 but now I&#39m incorporating sp 4 more into his treatments. (I practice acupressure, not acupuncture,...

I would information regarding an anatomic correlation of the triple burner/trifocus meridian if such exists (4/2013)

Thank you, Sheila. I have not tried Co Q 10 yet but have read that it is good for the heart. A different doctor is probably a good idea, I agree. I don&#39t think I&#39ve done the echocardiogram yet.

Thanks, Brenda. What a good observation, I didn&#39t even think about the organ clock. Interesting about the NIH. Are their brands that have their herbs certified by the NIH? Or do they instead look to see who isn&#39t being honest...

Hawthorn Berry and Heart Palpitations (3/2013)

I&#39ve had it checked several times with several different tests in the past. Everything seems normal, although thyroid problems do run in my family.

Injury from Electric Shock - treatment protocols / ensuing pattern suggestions (3/2013)

Thank you, Norma. it&#39s so sad to see how far-reaching the effects of this type of injury can be. Glad to hear you&#39re having success in treating him :) I&#39ve read that depression and anxiety are common effects of electric...

Thank you for your response, Chad! First of all, I completely agree with you: Acupuncture would be the ideal treatment for my client to receive. I&#39ve asked him repeatedly each week if he&#39s made his appointment with an acupuncturist in...

8 extraordinary meridians (3/2013)

While we were not taught specifically to work with the 8 extraordinary meridians (only taught theory behind them in my TCM classes), apparently they did teach the students up until those who graduated a semester before us to incorporate them...
