KD 15 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "KD 15" , 中注, is represented by "Zhongzhu" in pinyin and "Central Flow" in english and may be found:

1 cun below CV 8, .5 cun lateral to CV 7.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • KD 11, KD 12, KD 13, KD 14 & KD 15 all intersect the Chong Mai and are useful as local points for abdominal a/or gynecological issues

Kd 15 has the following theoretical associations which serve as important guideposts in designing an effective treatment protocol:

  • Intersection Point of the KD & Chong Mai Meridians

KD 15 may potentially be used, in coordination with a well designed acupuncture treatment protocol, to influence the following conditions: Abdominal Pain, Amenorrhea (Absence of Menstruation), Digestive Issues, Dysmenorrhea (Menstrual Pain - Cramps), Irregular Menstruation and/or Menorrhagia (Heavy Menstrual Bleeding)

While not necessarily valid clinically, CV 7 ( This point is not used very often clinically,…), SP 14 (Warms the middle warmer and dissipates cold for l…) and ST 26 (Abdominal pain, bloating, hernias. Menstrual iss…) are nearby.
