TH 13 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "TH 13" , 臑會, is represented by "Naohui" in pinyin and "Upper Arm Convergence" in english and may be found:

3 cun below TH 14 on the posterior border of the deltoid muscle on line joining TH 14 and the olecranon.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Local Point

Th 13 has the following theoretical associations which serve as important guideposts in designing an effective treatment protocol:

  • Intersection Point of the TH, LI & Yang Wei Channels.

While not necessarily valid clinically, LI 14 (Local point for pain in the shoulder and upper ar…) and UB 15 (Main point for all heart related issues from a TC…) are nearby.
