TH 4 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "TH 4" , 陽池, is represented by "Yangchi" in pinyin and "Yang Pool" in english and may be found:

On transverse crease of dorsum of wrist in a depression on the ulnar side of the extensor digitorum communis tendon.


Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Dorsal wrist issues such as strains, sprains or subluxations.
  • Wasting & thirsting disorder, regulates water metabolism, alleviates dry mouth a/or thirst.
  • Moxa to tonify the Yang of the body
