The acupuncture point "KD 26" , 彧中, is represented by "Yuzhong" in pinyin and "Lively Center" in english and may be found:
In the 1st ICS 2 cun lateral to CV 20.
Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:
KD 26 has some precautions to be considered (see our precautions list).
No Deep Needling (NDN)
Needle obliquely.
A single acupuncture point is not commonly thought of as an empirical way to influence a TCM diagnostic pattern. KD26, however, is a strong candidate to be incorporated into an acupuncture protocol for patients who exhibit: Lung Dampness - Phlegm Cold, Lung Dampness - Phlegm Heat, Lung Rebellious Qi and/or Stomach Rebellious Qi
KD 26 may potentially be used, in coordination with a well designed acupuncture treatment protocol, to influence the following conditions: Asthma, Cough, Digestive Issues, Nausea, Steaming Bone Disorder and/or Vomiting
While not necessarily valid clinically, CV 20 ( Local point for chest issues - pain, asthma, …), LU 1 (Lung Front MU Point - useful for all LU Issues, e…), LU 2 (Similar to LU 1 but used more often as a local sh…) and ST 14 (Cough. Sensation of tightness a/or fullness in t…) are nearby.
