GB 14 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "GB 14" , 陽白, is represented by "Yang Bai" in pinyin and "Yang White" in english and may be found:

On the forehead, directly above the pupil, 1 cun above the midpoint of the eyebrow

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Frontal/temporal (ST/TH area) headaches.
  • Eye issues (direct needle towards eye) - redness, swelling, itching, twitching, etc

Gb 14 has the following theoretical associations which serve as important guideposts in designing an effective treatment protocol:

  • Intersection Point of the GB, ST, TH, LI & Yang Wei Meridians

While not necessarily valid clinically, UB 1 (Main point for all eye disorders especially from …) and UB 2 (Local point for sinus congestion a/or headache. …) are nearby.
