CV 15 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "CV 15" , 鳩尾, is represented by "Jiu Wei" in pinyin and "Turtledove Tail" in english and may be found:

7 cun above CV 8 (umbilicus).


Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Luo Connecting Point - upper abdomen issues, chest tightness/oppression, cardiac area pain.
  • Heart / Shen related psychological issues - epilepsy, palpitations, mania.
  • Digestive issues such as nausea, reflux, and upper chest issues such as sore throat, wheezing.  

CV 15 has some precautions to be considered (see our precautions list).
