CV 18 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "CV 18" , 玉堂, is represented by "Yu Tang" in pinyin and "Jade Hall" in english and may be found:

Level with the 3rd ICS.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

Local point for chest issues - pain, cough, asthma, sore throat.
Counterflow - vomiting, difficulty ingesting.

While not necessarily valid clinically, KD 24 (Local Point, generally useful for cough, chest te…), SP 19 (Aids the descent of lung qi - cough. Regulate lu…) and ST 16 (Chest tightness a/or pain, asthma, cough. Breast…) are nearby.
