The acupuncture point "UB 7" , 通天, is represented by "Tong Tian" in pinyin and "Celestial Connection" in english and may be found:
1.5 cun posterior to UB 6 or 4 cun above the AHL and 1.5 cun lateral to the AML.
Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:
A single acupuncture point is not commonly thought of as an empirical way to influence a TCM diagnostic pattern. UB7, however, is a strong candidate to be incorporated into an acupuncture protocol for patients who exhibit: Lung Wind Invasion - Wind Heat
UB 7 may potentially be used, in coordination with a well designed acupuncture treatment protocol, to influence the following conditions: Fainting (Loss of Consciousness), Headache, Nasal Polyps, Neck Pain, Nosebleed (Epistaxis), Rhinitis, Sinus Infection and/or Sinusitis
While not necessarily valid clinically, GB 18 (Local Point.) and GV 21 ( Epilepsy - acute and chronic (for children av…) are nearby.
