EX Huatuojiaji at C3 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory
The acupuncture point "EX Huatuojiaji at C3" , 華佗夾脊, is represented by "Huatuojiaji" in pinyin and "Sides of Spine at C3" in english and may be found:
.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous processes of C3
Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:
- C3 innervates the eyes, sinuses, temporal lobe areas and and is used for a range of eye, vision and sinus issues. In the right circumstances, combines well with Yintang and LI 4.
- Used extensively within the Tam Healing System and Tong Ren Therapy. The cervical huatuo points are not needled as often, but used with tuina and/or tonren therapy.
EX Huatuojiaji at C3 may potentially be used, in coordination with a well designed acupuncture treatment protocol, to influence the following conditions: Allergies, Eye Problems, Sinus Infection, Sinusitis and/or Vision Problems
While not necessarily valid clinically, EX Yi Ming (Sleep issues - insomnia, dream-disturbed sleep.Ey…) and GB 20 ( Dispel Exterior or Interior Wind - (exterior)…) are nearby.
