The acupuncture point "CV 20" , 華蓋, is represented by "Hui Gai" in pinyin and "Florid Canopy" in english and may be found:

Level with the 1st ICS.


Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Local point for chest issues - pain, asthma, wheezing, cough.
  • Counterflow qi - difficulty ingesting.  

While not necessarily valid clinically, KD 26 (Local Point, generally useful for cough, chest te…) and ST 14 (Cough. Sensation of tightness a/or fullness in t…) are nearby.
