GV 5 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "GV 5" , 懸樞, is represented by "Xuan Shu" in pinyin and "Suspended Pivot" in english and may be found:

L1.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • Local point for low back pain.
  • Diarrhea, indigestion, poor assimilation (undigested food in stools), running piglet (similar in ways to a panic attack), shan disorder (abdominal pain, indigestion, swelling of the genitalia, hernias).

While not necessarily valid clinically, UB 22 (As Triple Heater Shu this point effects condition…) are nearby.
