EX Yaotongxue Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory
The acupuncture point "EX Yaotongxue" is represented by "Yaotongxue" in pinyin and "Low Back Pain Point" in english and may be found:
On the dorsum of the hand, midway between the transverse wrist crease and the metacarpalphalangeal joint, between both the 2nd and 3rd and the 4th and 5th metacarpals (2 points on each hand).
Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:
- Acute issues of the low back - pain, sprain, strain (needle the same side)
While not necessarily valid clinically, HT 8 (HT Fire effecting the SI effecting the UB, heat d…), LI 3 (Expel wind and heat particularly from the throat,…), LI 4 (Releases the exterior for wind-cold or wind-heat …) and SI 4 (Local point for shoulder, arm, hand and wrist pro…) are nearby.
