EX Huatuojiaji at T3 Acupuncture Point Applications and Theory

The acupuncture point "EX Huatuojiaji at T3" , 華佗夾脊, is represented by "Huatuojiaji" in pinyin and "Sides of Spine at T3" in english and may be found:

.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous processes of T3

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

  • T3 innervates the lung and lymph systems and is used for a range of immune issues (with T1 and T2), including symptoms such as allergies, asthma, chest pain, cough, voice issues, lyme disease, and frequent infections.  T1, T2 and T3 are used for a range of immune and autoimmune conditions within the tam healing system.
  • Used extensively within the Tam Healing System and Tong Ren Therapy. May be needled and used with tuina and/or tonren therapy.

EX Huatuojiaji at T3 may potentially be used, in coordination with a well designed acupuncture treatment protocol, to influence the following conditions: Allergies, Asthma, Cancer, Chest Pain, Cough, Fibromyalgia (CFS), Lyme Disease and/or Vocal Problems

While not necessarily valid clinically, GV 12 ( Heat in the lungs and chest, cough, asthma, c…) and UB 13 (Main point for all Lung related issues from a TCM…) are nearby.
